Frequently Asked Questions
What are anti wrinkle injections?
This is a procedure where a purified naturally-occurring protein, botulinum toxin, that relaxes wrinkle-causing muscles is injected, creating a smoother, rejuvenated and more youthful appearance.
How is it administered?
It is administered by intramuscular injection with a tiny needle that leads to relaxation of the muscle by blocking the nerve impulses that trigger wrinkle-causing contractions.

What does the injection do?
This is an innovation in non-surgical facial enhancement that targets moderate to deep wrinkles. The wrinkles you earn in 35-plus years can be erased in days with this simple, non-surgical procedure.
This is a simple, quick, minimally-invasive non-surgical treatment that delivers dramatic results.
Where can the injections be used?
- frown lines between the eyebrows
- crows feet lines around the eyes
- horizontal forehead wrinkles
These expression lines may give an impression of anger, anxiety, sadness or tiredness. The treatment is also administered in many other areas as described above, with dramatic effect. Ask Dr O’Gorman for more information.

What are the side effects?
There is a very small risk (1-2%) of a temporary weakness in nearby muscles, such as a slight and temporary drooping of an eyelid or eyebrow lasting 1-6 weeks.
There are no known permanent side effects.
Incomplete treatment can result from the recruitment of accessory muscles and a review appointment is recommended if this happens.
How long does it last?
Effects are temporary, lasting from 3-6 months, with 4 months being the most likely duration. Results may last longer with repeated treatments.
The result will wear off progressively and eventually the wrinkles will return as before the treatment if repeated treatments are not undertaken.
