Dr O’Gorman has been providing cosmetic medical services since 2004. He believes that the secret lies in the consultation. A cosmetic assessment is recommended prior to undertaking cosmetic procedures. This assessment is performed personally by Dr O’Gorman. This is usually in a face to face format but consultation via telephone or video can also be arranged if necessary.
During the consultation, a medical history is taken which includes an enquiry into any medical conditions, medications, allergies, lifestyle, past cosmetic procedures, past surgical procedures, family history and a discussion of your concerns. Ideally you will attend without makeup applied or be prepared to have your makeup removed to allow for a proper skin assessment.
Dr O’Gorman will assess your concern areas, advise of his own opinion, assess your facial ratios, symmetry, profile, shape, and surface skin condition. Photography is also taken. He will then present you with his opinion and a personalised treatment plan. Each recommendation will be explained thoroughly including what to expect, mode of action, time to effect, duration of effect, side-effects, and costs. Often treatments are staged over time.

The cost of a cosmetic consultation with Dr O’Gorman is $250.00 and this can be credited towards a treatment.
Hair Restoration Consultations
Dr O’Gorman has been practising Medicine since 1992. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery amongst many others. Over the years he has assessed many patients in relation to hair loss and has assisted many patients with advice and prescribing. He describes his extension of services into hair transplantation as a natural progression utilising his medical, aesthetic, and surgical skills. He describes it as a great privilege to be able to assist his patients in such a personal way and to help restore their confidence.
Dr O’Gorman personally conducts all hair loss consultations. This is usually in a face to face format but consultation via video can also be arranged.
During the consultation, Dr O’Gorman will enquire on your medical history, medications, any allergies, lifestyle, past surgical procedures, family history, and he will discuss your particular concerns. For some patients investigations may need to be arranged such as blood tests or a scalp biopsy. Dr O’Gorman will examine your skin and scalp and hair. He will assess your hair thickness, hair density, and assess any areas of thinning or hair loss. Hair densitometry will be performed. Photography will also be taken. Dr O’Gorman will classify your hair loss on the Norwood scale (for men) or the Ludwig scale (for women). He will also look at predicted hair loss into the future based on your current situation and taking your family history into consideration.
Once the assessment is complete, Dr O’Gorman will present his findings to you and advise a personalised treatment plan. Treatments may include medications, topical formulations, LED light therapy, scalp PRP (platelet rich plasma), and FUE hair transplantation utilising the latest automated technology Neograft 2.0. When hair transplantation is recommended, Dr O’Gorman will also show you the planned hairline design.
The cost of a hair loss consultation is $250.00 and this can be credited towards a treatment.

He has also practised in Cosmetic Medicine since 2004. Over the years he has assessed many male patients in relation to sexual health concerns and has assisted many patients with advice and prescribing.
